Welcome to Cricket Valley Energy’s
Transmission Upgrade Information Center

New York is currently strengthening the electrical grid across the state. Cricket Valley Energy Center (CVEC) has been required to increase transmission capacity, redundancy, and operational capabilities by funding and installing a transmission line in the existing 14.6-mile Con Edison right-of-way between the Town of Dover and the Con Edison substation in the Town of Pleasant Valley. Additionally, the project will include re-conductoring a 3.4-mile segment of Line 398, in the same existing right-of-way, in the Town of Dover between the Cricket Valley substation and the New York-Connecticut state line.

This interactive website provides direct access to important documents about the transmission upgrade as well as project updates, news, and events. Cricket Valley is committed to transparency and public involvement.
